As part of our who’s who series, Jane Hartley, health and wellbeing associate at VONNE and north east regional social prescribing facilitator, shares with us her passion for voluntary and community sectors as well as detailing how they are important players in the health and care workforce. You can watch Jane’s short film here.
Janice Barclay has recently joined our Great Place to Work Delivery Board helping to ensure the priorities of those with responsibilities for social care throughout local authorities are also represented. Janice has 36 years’ experience working in the public sector, including four years as head of human resources (HR) at the Scottish Prison Service before returning to the north east to join Gateshead Council in April 2018, where she works as service director for HR and workforce development.
Janice works closely with other local authority HR leads in the region, mainly through the North East Strategic HR Forum (NESHRF), hosted by NEREO, to share good practice and resources across local government wherever possible. NEREO supports the 12 local authorities in the North East of England in the field of human resources, organisational development and employee relations.
