The WSTB has given the go-ahead to a programme of work to join up workforce planning across health and care in the region. Phase one will focus on three areas – frailty across the North Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), cancer, and learning disabilities and autism.
Early in the new year, sessions will be organised involving a wide range of stakeholders to agree scope. A workforce planners’ network will be set up to share best practice, build expertise and develop our capabilities. Phase two of the programme will look at mental health and primary care and will start following feedback from the first phase.
The project is being funded by our money given to the WSTB by our partners Health Education England (HEE) and is part of a half a million-pound investment to take forward workforce transformation initiatives agreed by the Board in November.
